Al-Faisaly Begin AFC Champions League Two Against Qatar’s Al Rayyan Wednesday

Amman, Sept. 15 (Petra) -- Al-Faisaly football team will begin its AFC Champions League Two campaign against Qatar’s Al Rayyan at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan, as part of Group C.

Al-Faisaly will be looking to secure a positive result in its continental opener against hosts Al Rayyan. The Jordanian side has completed its preparations for the match after arriving in Doha and beginning training sessions under Egyptian head coach Tarek Mostafa, with a focus on the technical and physical aspects of the encounter.

Al-Faisaly was drawn into Group C alongside Qatar’s Al Rayyan, Saudi Arabia’s Al Taawoun, and Oman’s Al Nahda. The group stage is being played on a home-and-away basis, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage.

Wednesday’s match marks the opening fixture of the group, with Al-Faisaly aiming to make a strong start to its continental campaign and capitalize on the experience of its players in domestic and international competitions. Al Rayyan, meanwhile, will look to make the most of home advantage and the support of its fans to secure a positive result in its opening Asian fixture.

The AFC Champions League Two group stage features 32 teams divided into eight groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Round of 16.
